Customer Success Story: Mountain View Park Thoroughbred and New Beginning Miniature Horses of Northern NSW, Australia
Mountain View Park Thoroughbred is a stud horse and racing complex located in Northern NSW Australia, and is home to 24 Thoroughbred horses. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Debbie Tilton also runs New Beginning Miniature Horses.
"My husband controls the Thoroughbred side of the business, and after purchasing a mini for my grandson some two years ago, I became addicted to these little horses, and so now I am breeding them also. Kind of funny really," she says, about their two very different operations.
When the record keeping on this number of horses became cumbersome, Tilton began searching the Internet for a horse management software program, which is how she found EquineMax.
"I then took the trial option for only a few days and realized how fantastic [EquineMax] is," she says, "Before I purchased EquineMax, I had records all over the house on bits of paper…it was a nightmare!"
With EquineMax, Tilton says she can keep the records she needs on all of the horses, but in an organized fashion that helps keep the two distinct operations separate. After a few months of using EquineMax, she opened a second file to record the miniature side of the business separately.
Tilton says her favorite feature in EquineMax is the Task Reminder.
"It is just so brilliant to quickly print off a list of
horses by category with photos and pedigree when we have
visitors or inquiries," she says, "The ability to make
custom reports is also a huge plus."
"Before I started using it, I would be forgetting when things like shoeing, medication, etc., was due," she says.
Having her horse records in one place, with the ability to set the task reminders, has helped to keep track of the busy schedule at Mountain View Park.
"EquineMax to me was a Godsend!" Tilton says.
