Equinemax ES has a file converter included in the software. To convert your data file from EquineMax 2006 version of the software:
1. First, be sure to make a backup of your data file in EquineMax 2006. Then, click on the Microsoft Office button (the multicolored button at the top left) in EquineMax ES, then select Convert/Convert data File from a Previous Version.
2. A window will open which should show, Look In: EquineIQ. EquineMax 2006 and EquineMax ES should show below. Double-click on the EquineMax 2006 and that will show the contents of the folder--should be Backup, Data, System. Double-click on Data and your data file should be listed in the window.
3. Double-click on your ranch data file and the conversion process will begin. Follow the instructions on the screen and when finished you should get a message telling you the file has been successfully converted. On the EquineMax ES home screen you should see under Current Data File: C:\EquineIQ\EquineMax ES\Data\YourRanchName.emdb
4. Make a backup of the new EquineMax ES data file
