Using EquineMax on a Mac is a question we receive often. Though EquineMax is a Windows program based on Microsoft's Office Access technology, it is possible for Mac users to run EquineMax.

To do this, you will need a Windows Virtualization program AND a Windows operating system software (XP or Vista). Install the Windows Virtualization software first which will then guide you to install the Windows Operating system.

VMware Fusion 3 - VMWare performed very fast on our Mac Book Pro. Of the three virtualization softwares, we recommend VMWare.

Parallels 6 - Parallels has very tight integration with OSX including the ability to double click on Windows files from within OSX. The downside was the performance was slower than VMWare Fusion.

Apple Bootcamp - Included with new Intel Macs at no additional charge. Unlike VMWare and Parallels, Bootcamp requires you to reboot to access your Windows installation.

Also, a valid Windows license is required for both VMWare Fusion and Parallels. If you do not already have a Windows license, you can purchase one along with your virtualization software.
